Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-03-05

Monolyn Labs builds privacy-first iOS apps and lightweight Atlassian Cloud tools. We aim to collect as little data as possible, and we do not use third‑party trackers or ad tech.

1. Website (monolyn.nl)

This website is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not run analytics scripts, advertising pixels, or third‑party tracking.

  • No cookies for analytics are set by this site.
  • Server logs: like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may process basic request logs (e.g., IP address, user agent) for security and delivery.

2. Support email

If you email support@monolyn.nl, we receive the contents of your message and any attachments. Our support inbox uses standard email providers (e.g., Gmail) to receive mail.

  • Use this only for support requests. Do not send sensitive personal data.
  • We retain support emails only as long as needed to resolve the request and for basic record‑keeping.

3. iOS apps

Our iOS apps are designed for local storage and typically keep data on your device. We do not require an account to use the core functionality.

  • No third‑party tracking SDKs or ad tech are intentionally integrated.
  • Our iOS apps do not require accounts or cloud sync for core functionality.
  • Local data: any content you create in the app stays on your device unless you export/share it.
  • Crash diagnostics: Apple may provide crash reports depending on your device settings. If such reports are available to us, they are used only to improve stability.

The following face-data disclosures apply only to Monolyn iOS photo-editing apps that process user-selected photos containing faces, including True Portrait.

Face Data and Photo Processing

Monolyn iOS photo-editing apps that process user-selected portrait photos, including True Portrait, process those photos on the user’s device only.

When a selected photo contains a face, the app may temporarily derive face-region information from that photo, such as a face bounding box / face position, in order to localize portrait adjustments. This processing is used only to apply the app’s editing effect to the face region more accurately.

These apps do not use face data to identify a person, authenticate a person, create a biometric template, perform face recognition, profile a user, track a user, or advertise to a user.

These apps do not send face data or selected photos to the developer’s servers or to third parties. Face-region information is processed locally on device and is not stored as a separate persistent record.

Sharing

Monolyn iOS photo-editing apps that process user-selected portrait photos, including True Portrait, do not share face data or selected photos with third parties.

Retention

Face-region information used during editing is temporary and exists only for the current editing session. It is discarded after processing and is not retained by the developer.

If the user chooses Save copy to Photos, the edited image is saved to the user’s own Photos library on the device. The developer does not retain a server-side copy of the image or any face data.

Other Local Data

For True Portrait, the app may store local editing preferences on device, such as the most recent Strength, Texture, and Grain values. These settings do not contain face data.

4. Atlassian Cloud apps

Our Atlassian Cloud apps for Jira run inside your Atlassian Cloud environment (e.g., via Atlassian Forge). These apps only access data necessary to provide the feature, and data handling is subject to Atlassian’s platform controls.

5. Changes

If we materially change this policy (for example, by adding analytics), we will update this page and adjust the effective date.
